NEWS FROM PREAH VIHEAR AREA

   On October 15, 2008 at 14:15 Thai troops started attacking the Cambodian troops at three different places deep inside the Cambodian territory:

1-At Prolean Intry (Eagle Field), approximately 1,120 meters South of the International boundary line between Cambodia and Thailand.

2-At the area of Phnom Troap, 1,600 meters South of the International boundary line between Cambodia and Thailand.

3-In the vicinity of Keo Sikha Kiri Svara pagoda, approximately 300 meters West of the temple of Preah Vihear and approximately 700 meters from the international boundary.

Events Dated Friday October 03 2008

15:00 HR : 15 Thai Troops moved deep inside of Cambodia territory with an additional 15 backup Thai troops with vicinity.

15:20 HR : 15 Thai troops fussed after the Cambodian border guards asked them to leave the area.

15:30 HR : About 50-60 meters from the Cambodian Post, Thai troops started firing M 79 launched Grenade (USA made) and Heavily M 16 shooting at Cambodian Guards. 15:31 HR : Cambodian troops returned fire in self defense by back with launching one rocket B 40 and firing some ten round of AK 40 riffle.
