PHNOM PENH, March 31 (PQRU) – U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for war crime, Stephen J. Rapp told Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency. Dr. Sok An on late Wednesday that Washington to fund another $5 millions for the U.N.-funded Khmer Rouge tribunal given the U.S. is pleased with the court’s function. “I was impressed with the government to bring those most responsible leaders of the genocidal regime to justice,” Mr. Rapp told H. Washington had already injected $1.8 millions last year for the tribunal to prosecute the former leaders of the Khmer Rouge blamed for the deaths of an estimated 1.7 millions in the 1970s. More

ITALY WANTS TO INCREASE TOURISM WITH CAMBODIA

PHNOM PENH, Jan. 13, 2010 (PQRU) – His Excellency Dr. Sok An welcomed an initiative raised by His Excellency Michelangelo Pipan who wanted to bring the two countries’ art performance which is part of the efforts to attract more tourists.

His Excellency Pipan told Dr. Sok An Deputy Prime Minister that “Italy wants to get involve in the activities related to the work of Angkor.”

PM Samdech HUN SEN Presides Over the 15^th Anniversary of the Brigade 70

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, presided over the 15th Anniversary of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces Brigade 70. The Anniversary celebration was held on October 13, 2009.
In his remarks, Samdech Techo HUN SEN expressed his appreciation to Brigade 70 for its tireless efforts in contributing to national defense and rehabilitation of infrastructure in the country. He acknowledged the immense contribution of Brigade 70 in these aspects as one of the factors attracting national and international investors to do business in Cambodia.
